Reliability-Centered Maintenance

ASI provides expert, flexible, cost effective support for implementing RCM based maintenance programs in a variety of industries. The ASI Team has extensive experience performing and implementing RCM analysis on a wide variety of systems for military, government, and commercial customers. Our experience includes RCM analysis on weapon systems, facilities, data centers, power plants, plant equipment, and other systems. Our staff has experience in several different RCM processes and implementation methods. Click here to read more about RCM.

For new RCM applications, when a choice is available, we recommend the RCM process provided in NAVAIR 00-25-403, Guidelines for the Naval Aviation Reliability Centered Maintenance Process. We promote this process because it is completely public domain; there are no licenses, fees, or restrictions and may be adapted as necessary for unique situations. The process has been continuously updated with experience gained from years of use and it is complemented by state-of-the-art tools and training, all of which are non-proprietary. This process has been used successfully implemented in a variety of industries including power plants, manufacturing, data centers, aviation, and others. This process is compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Standard JA-1011, Evaluation Criteria for RCM Processes.

ASI can also provide support the NAVSEA RCM processes as defined in MIL-P-24534 with Level I and Level II certified analysts. We also have experience with a number of other RCM processes and software tools such as RCMCostTM.

Our experience with, and ability to support, different RCM processes allows us to help you adopt the best RCM solution for your organization.

ASI provides a variety of RCM related services and products that allow an RCM program to be tailored to each organization’s needs. We can provide RCM training, consulting, RCM facilitation, contract analysis, software development and integration, maintenance program development and implementation, and CMMS and RCM integration. ASI can help your organization realize the benefits of using RCM in a number of ways.

OEMs Support:

  • OEMs can benefit from our understanding of the government’s needs in complying with RCM contract requirements on new systems. Because of our extensive experience with Government RCM projects, ASI can perform analysis faster, for less cost, and increase customer satisfaction with the end product, compared to efforts performed in-house.

In-service Systems:

  • Government and commercial organizations can benefit from our experience with RCM on in-service systems and equipment by reducing maintenance costs and increasing reliability and availability. Whether you need help implementing an RCM program in-house or help performing an analysis, we have the experience and tools to help you cost-effectively implement an RCM program. Contact us for more information on how RCM can benefit your organization.

Commissioning Support:

  • ASI can get your maintenance program off on the right foot by assisting in developing an RCM driven maintenance program using our experience with other similar assets and systems, industry knowledge, and your organization’s in-house expertise. We can also help with implementation of the RCM results, planning of maintenance tasks, incorporation of requirements into and setup of CMMS programs to support RCM.

A summary of our RCM capabilities can be found in our brochure.
