AMSEC(PCI) N00178-98-C-2006 Senior government design oversight for the development, engineering, and integration of a new emergent warfare area (Force Protection) into the DD(X) ORD, standup of a design agent engineering team, and research of applicable technologies. LTM (N00421-01-D-0101) reviews and evaluates engineering changes to existing systems, overall impact to system/subsystems and performs technical analyses of engine, airframe, avionics, software, air refueling, and cargo handling systems. Analyzes and drafts initial ECPs and TDs evaluating life cycle impacts on logistics and engineering. ASI (N00178-05-D-4435-M801) Provides structural analysis, design of repairs and design for structural modifications for the T-45 aircraft. SAIC (AMSEC) N00164-03-C-0007 redesigned, prototyped, and tested of a state-of-the art controller for the GAU-2B/A 7.62 mm mini-gun because of parts obsolescence and high repair costs. As a result, a reliability-improvement ECP was submitted to NAVICP who determined the design met the Buy Our Spares Smart program’s criterion of 2:1 return on investment. BAE (N00406-99-D-5130) delivers system engineering expertise to multiple NSWC Dahlgren departments, and lead teams working missiles, launchers, guns, and munitions through every step of system engineering and life-cycle management processes.
