Executive Team
ASI's executive management team brings decades of experience in providing technical services
to the United States Department of Defense, other public-sector agencies, and companies of all
sizes. The ASI executive team has a unique combination of business and technical experience and
skills that will ensure the long term stability, growth, and success of the company.
Principal Bios
John H. Kobelski - Chief Executive Officer -
John founded ASI in September of 2005 after achieving over 30 years experience in military programs,
the management of engineering and logistics programs, and business development. Prior to starting
ASI, John was an Aviator and Aeronautical Duty Officer in the US Navy and served in such
billets as A-6 Aircraft Bombadier/Navigator aboard Attack Squadron 35, Catapult and Arresting Gear Officer aboard USS Independence, A-6 Project Officer at the Naval Aviation Depot, Norfolk, VA and
as the Attack Class Desk Officer at COMNAVAIRLANT, Norfolk, VA. After retiring from the US Navy in
1990, John spent the next 15 years in engineering and management programs for companies such as ARINC
Research, National Technologies Associates Inc., Support Systems Assoicates Incorporated, and just
before founding ASI he was Vice President of Business Development at LTM Inc where he helped the
company reach a growth rate of over 3000%. John has a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from
Louisiana Tech University and Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval
Postgraduate School.
Jon C. Leverette (JC) -
JC joined ASI in 2007 as Vice President of Engineering and Logistics. Prior to joining ASI,
he worked for 6 years as a Senior Engineer at General Dynamics Information Technology where
he managed a group providing reliability and maintenance analysis and other engineering
services for a wide range of military and commercial projects. Prior to working with General
Dynamics, JC spent 13 years with the Department of the Navy as a senior engineer at the Naval
Aviation Depot (now the Fleet Regional Maintenance Center Southeast) in Jacksonville Florida.
Over his 19 year plus career, he has been a leader in the field of RCM analysis and maintenance
concept development. Some of his accomplishments include assisting in the development of the
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) JA1011 Standard on RCM and the Naval Air Systems Command’s
NA00-25-403 RCM Manual; leading the development of new maintenance concepts on Naval Aircraft
including the Integrated Maintenance Programs for the T-45 and EA-6B Aircraft; and expanding
the use of the NAVAIR RCM process in commercial industry. He has authored and presented numerous
papers on RCM analysis and related topics and was the recipient of the American Society of Naval
Engineers (ASNE) RADML Claud A. Jones Award for development of the T-45 Aircraft Integrated
Maintenance Program. JC graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in
Aerospace Engineering.
Carl T. Sawyer -
Carl joined ASI in 2006 as Vice President of Information Technology when the company
he started in 1999, Coding Technology Solutions Inc. (CTS), was purchased by ASI.
As President of CTS, Carl helped the Navy's T-45 aircraft program develop an award
winning extranet project called GOSNet. Other major projects while with CTS included consulting
on the US Navy's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle intranet project and developing Reliability
Centered Maintenance software for the U.S. Navy. Prior to founding CTS, Carl spent 5 years with the Department of the
Navy as an Aerospace
Engineer at the Naval Aviation Depot (now the Fleet Regional Maintenance Center
Southeast) in Jacksonville Florida. While working for the Navy he supported numerous aircraft platforms
including the F/A-18, EA-6B and T-45 and participated on the
NAVAIR Engineering Investigation Business Process Reengineering team. He has authored
and presented numerous papers in engineering and information technology. Carl has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace
Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration
from the University of North Florida.
